WHAT IT READS • Message metadata only: the sender, the subject line, the date, the message size, and the List-Unsubscribe headers. • Your own email address, once, to show which account is connected. WHAT IT NEVER READS • The body of your emails. Every request to Google uses format=metadata with an explicit list of headers, so Google does not send us message text at all. This is not a promise to look away — the content is simply absent from the response. • Attachments, inline images, drafts, contacts, calendar, or any other Google service. HOW IT IS USED Purely to build the list you see on screen: your mail grouped by sender, with counts and sizes, so you can choose what to delete or unsubscribe from. That is the extension's single purpose. Nothing is used for any other purpose. WHERE IT GOES Nowhere. There is no server behind this extension. Metadata is processed on your own computer and cached in your browser's local extension storage so reopening the dashboard is instant. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party, never sold, never shared, and never used to train any AI model. YOUR CONSENT Nothing is read until you click Connect and grant access on Google's own consent screen. You can revoke it at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and uninstalling the extension deletes everything it stored on your machine. Most bulk-delete extensions fail in the same three ways: the job dies halfway, the count you approved was wrong, or you cannot get anything back. Bulk Delete Emails for Gmail™ is built around fixing exactly that. WHAT IT DOES • Scan and group by sender See every sender in your mailbox ranked by how many emails and how many megabytes they are costing you. Sort by count or by size, filter by name or domain, and scan 1,000 / 5,000 / 25,000 messages or everything. • Bulk delete, with an exact count first Select senders, or use a Gmail search query, "older than N months", "larger than N MB", "has attachment", or a category like Promotions or Social. Before anything happens you see the exact number of emails affected — counted live against Gmail, never estimated. • Mass unsubscribe Senders that support RFC 8058 one-click unsubscribe are handled automatically. Senders with only a web link are opened in batches of five, after you confirm. Senders with only a mailto: address are shown to you with a ready-to-send link — this extension deliberately cannot send email on your behalf. • Undo, for 30 days Deleting moves mail to Trash, which is a reversible label change. Every run is recorded, and one click restores it. Your last 10 cleanups are kept in a History view. • Dry run Flip one switch and the extension performs every step except the change itself, then reports exactly what would have happened. Use it on your first pass. BUILT FOR RELIABILITY • Work runs in a full dashboard tab, not in a background worker Chrome shuts down after 30 seconds. A 25,000-message scan actually finishes. • Automatic backoff when Gmail rate-limits, so a big job slows down instead of failing. • Cancel any cleanup mid-run. It stops cleanly between batches and tells you exactly how far it got. • Close the tab by accident? The run record survives, and Undo still works. • Permanent deletion is possible, but it is behind a separate toggle, a typed confirmation, and an extra permission — and it is never the default. PRIVACY • The content of your emails is never transmitted anywhere. It is never even requested: every fetch asks Google for headers only. • The extension reads sender, subject, date, size and unsubscribe headers, processes them on your computer, and caches them in local browser storage. • There is no Bulk Delete Emails for Gmail™ server.
