Requires a linked Linear issue and an independent approval before deploying a Bubble app to live, and logs every deploy for SOC2.

BuildGate holds Bubble's Deploy button until the change has a linked Linear issue and an approval from somebody else — then writes what happened into an append-only record your auditor can verify. Bubble has no built-in change-management control. Anyone with editor access can push straight to live, with no required review and no durable record of who deployed what, when, or why. BuildGate closes that gap without asking your team to change how they build — it runs inside the Bubble editor itself. HOW IT WORKS • A deploy request names the app, the versions involved, a linked Linear issue, a summary of the change, and a rollback plan. • Someone other than the requester has to approve it. BuildGate refuses self-approval outright — an admin can decide on another approver's behalf, but never on their own request. • Only once approved does the Deploy button unlock, for that specific change alone. • Every request, decision, and deploy is written into a hash-chained, append-only log. Nothing in it can be edited or deleted after the fact — the same design SOC2 auditors look for under CC8.1 (change management). WHAT ELSE IT DOES • Reconciliation — cross-checks Bubble's own version history against BuildGate's log, and raises a compliance exception if a deploy happened that never went through the gate. • Backups — a sanitized snapshot of each app (every credential stripped out, twice) committed on a schedule to a Git repository your organization owns, so you have a copy outside Bubble and a diff of what changed. • Notifications — an approver gets a Slack DM the moment a deploy is waiting on them; a comment posted back to the linked Linear issue once it's decided. • Automated review — optionally, BuildPrint reviews the diff between the version being deployed and the live one after a decision is made. It's advisory and never gates the deploy itself. • Break-glass — a documented bypass path for genuine emergencies, which is itself logged and raised as a compliance exception rather than silently allowed. WHO IT'S FOR Teams running Bubble in a regulated environment, under a SOC2 or similar audit, or that simply want a real segregation-of-duties control around who can push to production — enforced by the browser, not by trust. PERMISSIONS, IN PLAIN TERMS BuildGate's content script only runs on Bubble editor pages — it cannot see your other tabs or browsing history. It blocks exactly one network request (Bubble's deploy call) until an approval token exists for it.
