Overview

Capture bug reports with full context.

BugLens turns "I just saw a bug" into a complete, shareable report in seconds — without leaving the tab where the bug happened. Click the BugLens icon (or press Ctrl+Shift+B) and you immediately get a screenshot of the current page plus a description editor. Annotate it, dictate notes with your voice, pick the exact element or region that's broken, and BugLens bundles it all — screenshot, annotations, and structured page context — into one report. WHAT YOU CAN CAPTURE • Full-page screenshot, taken the instant you open BugLens • Annotations — draw, highlight, and blur sensitive areas before sharing • Element picker & region crop — point at exactly what's wrong • Voice-to-text dictation — speak, and the transcript lands in your description • Rich page context — console logs/errors, and (opt-in) failed network requests WHERE IT GOES — YOU DECIDE The default saves a self-contained .zip to your Downloads folder. Configure an adapter and the same report can go straight to GitHub Issues or a local project folder (a Claude-Code-friendly markdown tree). Nothing is sent anywhere you didn't set up. BUILT PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Zero telemetry. BugLens collects nothing and phones home to nothing. • Captured evidence is processed and stored locally. The only data that leaves your machine is what you explicitly send to a destination you configured. • Live transcription is optional: it uses Chrome's built-in speech API, which sends microphone audio to Google — it's consent-gated at first use and can be turned off anytime. No audio is ever saved to your report. • Minimal permissions — no access to any site until you click the icon; no "read all your data on all websites". • Sensitive values (cookies, auth tokens) are redacted from captured context by default, with a preview before anything is submitted. MADE FOR THE PEOPLE WHO FILE THE BUGS BugLens is for QA engineers, developers, and anyone who reports bugs and is tired of "works on my machine." Go from discovery to a filed report with full context in under 30 seconds. Tip: Ctrl+Shift+B collides with Chrome's bookmarks-bar shortcut — rebind it at chrome://extensions/shortcuts, or just use the toolbar icon.
