)Overview
Capture bugs with one click: screen recording, network HAR, console logs and a screenshot, bundled into a downloadable zip.
Filing a useful bug report usually means juggling four tools: a screen recorder, the DevTools network tab, the console, and a screenshot app. Bug Capture does all of it in one click. Start, reproduce the bug, Stop - you get one zip with everything a developer needs to diagnose it. WHAT'S IN THE ZIP - recording.webm - screen recording of the tab, or of your whole screen - network.har - full network activity, opens in DevTools or any HAR viewer - console.log and console.json - console output, human-readable and structured - screenshot.png - the page at the moment you stopped - screenshots/ - extra shots taken mid-recording with Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Y - metadata.json - URL, page title, user agent, timing, request count - README.txt - a plain-text summary of the capture HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the icon and pick your source: just the active tab, or your entire screen. 2. Start recording and reproduce the bug. Press the shortcut any time to grab a screenshot without interrupting it. 3. Stop, then add a title and description. 4. Save and Download writes the zip, named after your bug title. PRIVACY Everything happens locally in your browser. No account, no server, no telemetry - nothing is uploaded. The capture is held in memory until you download or discard it. NOTES Chrome shows a "Bug Capture started debugging this browser" banner while recording. That is Chrome's required notice for the DevTools protocol, which is how network and console data get collected. Works on normal http(s) pages; Chrome blocks capture on chrome:// pages and the Web Store. Requires Chrome 116+.
