Buddy Password Manager

Fill logins, cards, and addresses from your Buddy vault. Requires the Buddy desktop app.

The vault stays in the Buddy desktop app: the extension asks the app you unlocked, over a local connection on your own machine, and only for the fields the page in front of you can fill. No vault data is stored in the browser, and nothing is sent to a server. REQUIRES THE BUDDY DESKTOP APP Install Buddy from pwbuddy.com, then connect the extension from its popup and approve the pairing in the app. The extension is free; the desktop app is a paid product with a free 30-day trial, no account or credit card needed. FILLING • Click the Buddy mark inside a sign-in field to pick from your saved logins for that site. • Or click the Buddy icon in the toolbar. • Press Ctrl+Shift+L (Cmd+Shift+L on Mac) to open the list on the focused field. • Handles multi-page sign-ins, cards, and addresses. SAVING When you sign in with credentials Buddy doesn't have, it offers to save them, and offers to update the password when one changes. Always your choice; nothing is captured silently. YOU CONTROL SITE ACCESS The in-page picker is optional. Grant access to all sites to use the picker everywhere, or skip it and fill from the toolbar. You can pause Buddy on any site from the popup; paused sites are listed in Settings. OPEN SOURCE The source is at github.com/brandnewbyte/buddy-extension, and the build is reproducible: the same source always produces a byte-identical zip, with SHA256SUMS published on each GitHub release.
