Sync your bookmarks, history and passwords between your own devices through a server you host yourself. Everything is encrypted on your device before it's uploaded, so the server (and whoever runs it) only ever stores ciphertext. Made for Chromium browsers without Chrome Sync (Brave, Vivaldi, Edge, Chromium, ...) and for anyone who'd rather not hand their data to Google. WHAT'S NEW IN 2.4.0 • Change your account password from Settings. Your other devices are signed out, and your recovery passphrase stays the same. • New autofill option: open the suggestion list as soon as you click into a login field. • The suggestion list on websites is now as wide as the field. • "Add account" right from the suggestion list on sites with nothing saved yet. It opens a small window with the site already filled in. • A cleaner popup: Lock now sits at the top of the Sync tab. Log out and the language are in More settings. • Deleting your account now happens on your server's account page, linked from More settings, so it can't be done by mistake in the extension. • Clearer sync errors: if a reverse proxy rejects an upload as too large, the extension says so and explains how to fix it. • Finishing the first setup no longer closes the browser when it was the only tab open. FEATURES • Bookmarks: two-way sync with merge, so moves, renames and deletions carry over. • History: optional, with a configurable number of days to keep. • Password manager: suggestions and a save prompt on websites, add accounts right from the page, optional autofill (on click, on focus or on page load), a right-click menu, two-step verification codes (TOTP), and CSV import from Chrome, Firefox or Bitwarden. • Password generator: random characters or EFF word passphrases, with a strength meter. • Your account: change your password, and see and sign out the devices using your account. • Encrypted backups you can export and restore. • English and Spanish. PRIVACY BY DESIGN • End-to-end encryption: your data key never leaves your devices unencrypted. • A recovery passphrase, shown once, lets you set up new devices or reset your password. Nobody else can recover your data. • No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Open source. REQUIREMENTS You need your own BrowserSync server, version 2.0.0 or newer (2.3.0 or newer to change your password). It's free and open source, and runs with Docker.
