Overview
A better history page: smart search, views by site, date and category, bulk delete, one-click pause, block sites, stats and export.
A better history page: find any page you visited, see where your time goes, and clean up your history in a few clicks. Advanced Browser History replaces scrolling through an endless list with a dashboard built for finding things. Search the way you remember a page, browse your history by site, date or category, delete a whole site or day at once, and keep the sites you choose out of your history for good. 💡 WHY USE IT? The browser's own history page is one long list with a basic search box. It cannot group your visits, delete a whole site at once, or stop recording the sites you never want kept. Advanced Browser History gives you all of that, on the history you already have. 🚀 KEY FEATURES 📋 A Clear History List Every visit, newest first, under Today, Yesterday and the days before, with the time on each row. The sites you visited most in that range sit in the sidebar, one click away. 🌐 Browse by Site, Date or Category See your history grouped by website and the pages inside it, by day, or by your own categories such as Social Media, Shopping or Work & Dev. 🔍 Smart Search Find a page you only half remember. Search the title and the address together, narrow it down with site:, title: and url:, keep words together with quotes, or leave a site out with a minus. When nothing matches in the dates you picked, it tells you how many pages match further back. Your recent searches are kept, so you can run them again. 🗑 Bulk Delete Delete a site, a path, a category or a whole day in one go, or only the rows you pick. You choose what goes: just the visits you see, or the pages with all their visits. ⏸ Pause History Stop recording for 10 minutes, 20 minutes, an hour, or until you resume, with one click from the toolbar. You can change these times in Settings. Visits made while paused are deleted the moment they happen, and a red dot on the icon tells you it is paused. 🚫 Block Sites From Your History Turn on "Skip from history" for a category, or for the site you are on right from the toolbar popup. New visits to it are deleted the moment they happen, here and on the browser's own history page. Browsers give no way to keep a site out of history, so deleting each visit as soon as it is added does the same job. 🧹 Forget This Page or Site From the toolbar popup, remove every visit to the page you are on, or to the whole site, after seeing how many there are. The popup also lists the pages you visited last. 🗂 Categories Group sites under one name with a simple list of domains, or with advanced rules on the address and the page title. Start from a ready-made category, check which pages match before saving, and sync categories across your devices. 📊 Statistics Your top sites and pages, typed against clicked visits, a calendar of your busiest days, and the sites you have not visited for a while. 📤 Export Save what you are looking at as CSV or JSON, the whole result or just the rows you selected. A safety net before a big delete. ⌨️ Keyboard Shortcut Open your history from anywhere with Alt+Shift+H (Option+Shift+H on a Mac). 🌗 Light & Dark Mode Light, dark or follow your system, six accent colours, and a compact row height that fits more on the screen. 🌍 19 Languages English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Português, Polski, Čeština, Magyar, Русский, Українська, Türkçe, Bahasa Indonesia, Tiếng Việt, ไทย, 日本語, 한국어, 简体中文 and 繁體中文. It follows your browser's language, or pick one in Settings. 🛠 HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the Advanced Browser History icon in the toolbar, then "See all history". Or press Alt+Shift+H. 2. Pick a view from the sidebar: History, By Site, By Date or By Category. 3. Choose a date range and search for what you are looking for. 4. Delete, export, or add what you found to a category. 🔒 YOUR PRIVACY • Your history is read straight from your browser and stays there. The pages you visit, your searches and your categories are never sent to our servers or anyone else's. • Categories you choose to sync travel only through your browser's own sync, to your own account. • Anonymous usage statistics, such as which features are used, help us improve the extension. They never include the pages you visit or what you search. • Remove the extension and everything it stored goes with it. There is no account to close. ⚠️ The extension asks for access to your browsing history, because reading and managing it is what it does. It cannot read the content of the pages you visit. Enjoy a history page that finally works the way you think.
