Overview

Capture web pages, AI chats, research pages, and highlighted text as clean Markdown or plain text.

BrowserBeast™ Capture web pages, AI chats, research trails, and highlighted text as durable, human-readable records. BrowserBeast™ is a local-first Chrome Extension that transforms the web into structured Markdown or plain-text records designed to remain useful long after a page changes, disappears, or an AI conversation scrolls out of reach. Whether you're researching a topic, documenting a project, preserving an important AI conversation, or building your own knowledge archive, BrowserBeast captures what matters—and preserves the context that gives it meaning. Unlike traditional bookmark managers or web clippers, BrowserBeast creates complete, portable records that are easy for both humans and AI to read, search, organize, and reuse. Capture Modes Full Render Capture an entire rendered web page as clean Markdown or plain text. Highlighted Text Capture only the text you've selected while preserving important context and metadata. Every Capture Includes Every BrowserBeast capture is accompanied by an Evidence Envelope containing provenance metadata such as: • Source URL • Capture date and time • Browser and platform • Capture mode • Word and character counts • Tool version • Advisory privacy signals • Review status fields These records help preserve where information came from—not simply what it says. Built For • AI conversations • Research and investigations • GitHub repositories • Technical documentation • Academic reference material • Knowledge management • Personal archives • Long-term information preservation Local-First by Design BrowserBeast works on your computer. Your captures remain under your control. BrowserBeast does not depend on cloud storage or external capture services to create your records. Because web pages may contain private or logged-in information, BrowserBeast performs an advisory privacy scan and records potential privacy indicators in the Evidence Envelope to encourage review before sharing. Open Source BrowserBeast™ is Freeware and Open Source, released under the MIT License. The complete source code is available on GitHub for anyone who wishes to inspect, learn from, contribute to, or build upon the project. The web changes. AI conversations disappear. Research evolves. Your records shouldn't. Capture. Export. Enjoy.
