Overview

Rediscover your browsing memories. Surfaces the pages you visited a year ago, a month ago, or any period you choose.

Rediscover your browsing memories. You have visited hundreds of thousands of pages. The good ones — the article that changed how you think about something, the repo you meant to come back to, the trip you spent a weekend planning — are still in your history. You are just never going to scroll far enough to find them again. Browser Time Machine brings them back. Every day it shows you what you were reading exactly one year ago. Or six months ago. Or on any schedule you pick. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ON THIS DAY Open the popup and see the pages you had open on this date in the past — with the site, the time of day, and how many times you came back to it. Hop between every year that has something to show: 2024, 2023, 2022. WEEKLY DIGEST Once a week, a quiet reminder with 5–10 pages from that same week a year ago. Open them all, open the ones you want, or ignore it. THIS MONTH IN YOUR BROWSER A monthly recap: your top sites, your longest unbroken browsing session, the topics you spent the month on, and what you searched for most. REDISCOVER The part people keep. It finds the things you opened once and never returned to: • Articles you never finished • Videos you left half-watched • Repos you looked at and forgot • Documentation you read exactly once • Threads and answers that solved something for you • Old AI conversations • Sites you used to visit constantly, then stopped SURPRISE ME One button. One random page from your entire history. Surprisingly good at unearthing things you are glad to see again. MEMORY TIMELINE Today, yesterday, earlier this week, last month, six months back, a year back — your browsing as a single scrollable thread. SEARCH Instant search across everything you have ever visited. Filter by topic, narrow by time, sort by relevance or by how often you went back. Fast even at 100,000+ entries. COLLECTIONS Pages are grouped automatically — Development, AI, Learning, Travel, Finance, Shopping, Work, Health, Entertainment, News, Social — so you can browse a whole year of one interest at a time. STATISTICS How long you have been browsing. Your favourite weekday and hour. Your most productive month. Your longest session. Your most revisited site. Your oldest bookmark. FAVOURITES Star anything worth keeping. Favourites stay even if the page leaves your history. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ONE SETTING SHAPES EVERYTHING Pick how far back you want to look — a month, six months, a year, two years, or a custom number of days — and the whole extension follows. The daily feed, the weekly digest, the timeline's oldest stop and the reminders all move together. WHY IT KEEPS ITS OWN ARCHIVE Chrome clears its own history after roughly 90 days, so "one year ago today" cannot be answered from Chrome's history alone. Browser Time Machine keeps its own index in this browser profile so those older days are still there. Delete a page from Chrome's history and it disappears from here too. You can erase the whole archive at any time from Settings. HOW YOUR DATA IS HANDLED The archive and your settings are stored in this browser profile using IndexedDB and local extension storage. The extension requests no website access and makes no network requests while running — site icons come from Chrome's own local favicon cache, and its fonts ship inside the package. Nothing is transmitted anywhere, and there is no account to create. BUILT FOR REAL HISTORIES Handles 100,000+ entries. Indexes in the background, resumably, without slowing your browsing. Search stays instant. DESIGN Aged brass on warm paper, a classic serif, and motion that makes the whole thing feel like an object rather than a form. Light and dark, following your system. Full support for reduced-motion preferences.
