Overview
Select text on any page and hear it read aloud. Keeps a playback history in the sidebar.
Browser Speech (Ai) turns selected text into natural-sounding audio — no copy-pasting into another tab, no separate app. This is a text-to-speech extension: select text on any page, click the floating button that appears, and have it read aloud while each word highlights in sync as it's spoken. KEY FEATURES • Works on articles, documentation, emails, and any selectable content in your browser. • A searchable voice picker lets you filter by language and preview an AI voice before choosing. • Word-by-word highlighting follows along live as playback continues. • Click any word you've already heard to jump playback back to that point. • A single floating button doubles as your play/pause control — no popup to keep open. • Every session is saved to a local history so you can replay it instantly later, without regenerating audio. • Adjustable playback speed and a minimal settings panel. HOW IT WORKS 1. Select some words on a page. 2. Click the button near your selection, or right-click and choose "Read with Browser Speech (Ai)". 3. Follow along as it's read aloud, and click back to replay any part. PROVIDER Currently powered by Fish Audio's free model — bring your own free API key from fish.audio to get started. Support for more voice providers is planned. PRIVACY Your selection is sent only to your chosen provider, using your own API key. Preferences and history stay on your device and are never uploaded to any server we operate. Full details in the privacy policy.
