Overview
Monitor button clicks and page interactions. Forward events to Dynatrace, Datadog, or Peekmon.
Browser Peek monitors button clicks and page interactions on websites you choose, then forwards those events to your observability platform — Dynatrace, Datadog, or Peekmon. WHAT IT DOES Browser Peek captures click events on elements matching CSS selectors you define. For each matched click, it records the timestamp, button text, page URL, and any custom context fields you configure. Events are forwarded in real time to your selected backend. KEY FEATURES • Click Action Configuration — Define which buttons to monitor using CSS selectors, text filters, and URL filters. Test selectors live against any open tab. • Multiple Connectors — Send events to Dynatrace, Datadog, or Peekmon. Switch connectors without reconfiguring your actions. • Completion Watchers — Track whether a click leads to a successful outcome by watching for DOM elements or network responses that appear after the click. Measure time-to-completion automatically. • Context Fields — Extract additional data from the page at the moment of a click. Configure up to 5 custom fields per action using CSS selectors or element attributes. • Cross-Frame Capture — Monitor clicks and completions across iframes within the same tab. • Global Site Filter — Control exactly which websites the extension monitors using allow-list or block-list patterns. • CSS Helper — Paste HTML and get selector recommendations with syntax highlighting, specificity analysis, and uniqueness testing. • Settings Sync — Configuration syncs across your browsers. Credentials stay local to each device and are never synced. • Import/Export — Back up and share configurations. API tokens are automatically stripped from exports. WHO IS IT FOR Browser Peek is built for QA engineers, performance teams, and DevOps professionals who need to track specific user interactions and feed that data into their observability stack. SECURITY AND PRIVACY • Credentials are stored in device-local storage only (never synced across browsers) • API tokens are stripped from settings exports • All message handlers verify the sender is this extension • Content Security Policy: script-src 'self'; object-src 'none' • No remote code execution — all logic is bundled in the extension • Full privacy policy: https://peekmon.io/privacy LICENSING Browser Peek offers a free plan with basic click tracking.
