Overview

Capture text, images, and links from any page into Browser Notes — notes and sticky boards saved locally in your browser.

Browser Notes — capture the web, keep it in your browser Browser Notes is a local-first notes app that lives in your browser. This extension connects any website to Browser Notes at browsernotes.xyz so you can save ideas, links, quotes, and images without copying and pasting between tabs. No account. No cloud upload. Your notes stay on your device. --- CAPTURE FROM ANY WEBSITE Right-click on selected text or an image and choose Browser Notes. Pick where it should go: • New note — start a fresh note with your capture • Last note — append to the note you were last editing • New board — create a sticky note board named after the page • Last board — add a sticky to your current board Captured content includes a source link back to the page it came from, so you always know where it came from. --- SAVE PAGES FROM THE TOOLBAR Click the extension icon to open a compact capture panel: • Quick note — jot a thought in a small text box and save it instantly as a new note (no source footer, just your words) • Save this page — send the current tab’s title and URL to a note or sticky board using the same four destinations Everything is one click away. No scrolling through menus. --- OPTIONAL NEW TAB PAGE On first install, you choose what happens with new tabs: • Use Browser Notes on every new tab — open browsernotes.xyz when you press Ctrl+T / ⌘T • Keep Chrome’s default new tab — use capture features only, leave new tabs unchanged You can switch this anytime from the extension popup. --- WHAT IS BROWSER NOTES?
