Overview

See who’s watching you online: trackers, cookies, consent and the profile they build. Everything stays on your device.

Browser Monster shows you who’s watching you online, and helps you do something about it. As you browse, it notices the tracking companies on every page, where they send your data, what you agreed to in cookie banners, and the profile all of that adds up to. Everything is worked out and stored on your device. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and we never see what you browse. WHAT YOU’LL SEE • Who’s watching this page: the companies behind the trackers on the site you’re on, in plain English. • Where your data goes: every tracker server, located with offline tables and drawn on a globe. • Your profile: the audience segments advertisers are likely to put you in (ā€œnews readerā€, ā€œin the market for a carā€), estimated from your browsing. Sensitive categories such as health, money troubles, sexuality, religion and politics are hidden by default. • Who knows what: a file on each tracking company, with what it saw, where it sent it and how to opt out. • Consent receipts: what you agreed to in each cookie banner, and a warning when trackers still load after you said no. • Alerts: your email address being sent to tracking companies, searches passed on to third parties, fingerprinting, session recording, and ad trackers on sensitive pages. • A privacy score with ā€œfix nextā€ steps. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Delete tracking cookies by company, or wipe a site’s stored data. • Block a tracker or a destination you choose. • Run a Chrome privacy checkup and switch leaky settings off in one click. • Audit your other extensions and site permissions. • Write a UK GDPR data request to a company, ready to send. • Make a shareable report card (you choose what goes on it). PRIVATE BY DESIGN • All detection and analysis happens in your browser. • No analytics, no crash reporting, no ads, no account. • Extra permissions (history, extensions, Chrome settings, notifications) are only requested when you use the feature that needs them. • Uninstall it and your data is gone. We never had a copy. Browser Monster is a mirror, not a judge: it shows what loaded and when. It isn’t legal advice, and a request after you click ā€œrejectā€ isn’t proof that a site broke the law.
