)Overview
Connects Chromium-family browsers to local automation tools through Native Messaging and the Chrome DevTools Protocol.
Browser Bridge connects Chromium-based browsers to a compatible automation companion installed on your computer. It allows the companion to: • create, organize, activate, and close browser tabs; • navigate pages and perform clicks, typing, scrolling, and other page interactions; • inspect page content and capture screenshots; • follow pop-up tabs and task-related downloads; • retrieve bookmarks or browsing history when a task explicitly requests them. How it works Browser Bridge uses Chrome Native Messaging to exchange commands and results with a companion installed on the same computer. The extension is not a standalone automation product and does not contact an internet service directly. Data handled for a task can include tab titles and URLs, page content, screenshots, download information, bookmarks, and browsing history. Any processing performed after data reaches the companion is governed by that companion’s privacy policy. Browser Bridge supports Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Chromium, and other compatible Chromium-based browsers.
