Ask AI about the page you're already on. No tab-switching, no copy-pasting. BrowseMate adds a small floating chat bubble to your browser. Click it, ask a question, get an answer, and carry on reading. You bring your own API key from OpenAI, Google Gemini, Hugging Face, NVIDIA or Groq, and your chats go straight from your browser to the provider you picked. There's no BrowseMate account and no BrowseMate server in the middle. HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN DO 💬 Chat without leaving the page A chat bubble appears on regular web pages once you've added a key. Drag it where you like, resize the panel, and hide it with Ctrl+Shift+Y (⌘⇧Y on Mac) when you want a clean screen. You can change the shortcut at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. ✍️ Right-click any text Select a sentence or a whole paragraph, right-click, and choose Explain, Summarize, Translate, Rephrase and more. The answer opens right there. Follow-up questions remember the conversation. 🤖 Pick the AI you like • OpenAI: GPT-4o, GPT-4.1 and more • Google Gemini: Flash and Pro • Hugging Face: open models like Llama through the Inference Router • NVIDIA NIM: Nemotron, Llama and other models • Groq: very fast Llama models Switch providers from the chat header any time. If you can't use one provider right now, another one is a click away. NVIDIA and Groq are free to try on their free tiers, and their limits are set by them. 📸 Show it what you see Send a screenshot of the page to a vision-capable model (OpenAI, Gemini or Hugging Face) and ask about it. NVIDIA and Groq are text only for now. 🎙️ Talk instead of type Turn on voice input and dictate your question. It uses your browser's speech recognition, so language support depends on your browser. ⏰ Reminders Set a reminder from the chat and get a notification when it's time. 🌗 Light and dark mode Switch from the toolbar popup. YOUR KEYS, YOUR DATA • Your API keys are stored only on your device. • Chats go directly to your chosen provider over HTTPS. • Conversation history stays in your browser. • BrowseMate collects no analytics and doesn't track what you ask. Your provider handles your prompts under its own terms, so check theirs if that matters to you. GETTING STARTED (2 minutes) 1. Click the BrowseMate icon in the toolbar and open API Keys. 2. Paste a key from at least one provider. Each field has a link to where you can get one. 3. Open any page and click the bubble. Tip: for Hugging Face, enable "Make calls to Inference Providers" on your token. If you see an error, BrowseMate tells you what went wrong, such as a wrong key, a rate limit or no credits left, and where to fix it.
