Weather in your toolbar. That's it. No tab to open, no app to switch to. The temperature sits next to your address bar, and it's actually current — Brolly refreshes in the background and repaints every time your browser wakes it. If the data's old, it says so instead of pretending. ONE GLANCE, TWO FACTS The number is the temperature. The colour is what's coming: blue when rain's due within the hour, amber for a warning, red when it's serious. The little icon keeps up too — it shows the actual sky, day or night, and on clear nights the moon is whatever phase the real one's in. At dawn it looks like dawn. Nobody asked for that; we did it anyway. And you can always read it. The badge picks black or white text by what's actually legible against the colour behind it — measured properly, not guessed — or you can force it. Free, like everything else here. CLICK IT AND THERE'S A REAL FORECAST A 24-hour chart: temperature curve on top, rain below, night shaded in. Drag across it (arrow keys work too) and it reads out each hour — temperature, rain, wind, sky. Under that: five days, "feels like" when wind or humidity actually changes the answer, and sunrise to sunset. Far enough north, it'll just tell you the sun isn't setting tonight. Severe-weather alerts are included, and free — heavy rain, storm-force wind, extreme heat, frost. (They're derived from the forecast, not official meteorological warnings, and the settings page says so plainly.) PRIVACY, PLAINLY No account, no ads, no analytics, no trackers. We don't ask where your phone is — you type a city name, and that's all Brolly knows. It never reads the pages you visit, installing it doesn't open a single tab, and the install prompt asks for no access to any website. Your city and settings stay in your browser. The only thing that ever leaves is a coordinate rounded to about a kilometre, sent to fetch a forecast. Full detail in the privacy policy. THE DATA Forecasts come from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway), city search from GeoNames — both free, open data under CC BY 4.0. Which is a big part of why Brolly can afford to be free with no ads: the weather itself doesn't cost anything.
