)Overview
Block ads across the web with one-click control per site, per page, or globally. Fast popup, dark mode.
Brisk is a lightweight adblock extension for Chrome that removes ads from websites and gives you precise control over where filtering runs. No accounts, no tracking, no setup — install and it works. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHAT IT DOES • Blocks network requests for ads, trackers, and pop-ups using Chrome's native declarativeNetRequest engine — minimal CPU and memory overhead. • Hides leftover ad containers cosmetically via the Super Block layer, including anti-adblock bypasses on supported sites. • Lets you hide any element on a page manually with the built-in element picker — useful for stubborn banners filters miss. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ THREE LEVELS OF CONTROL From the popup you can switch protection on or off at three scopes: 1. Global — one button in the header turns everything on or off. 2. This website — disable filtering for a whole domain (e.g. when a site asks you to whitelist it). 3. This page — disable filtering for one URL only, leaving the rest of the domain protected. The settings page also includes a whitelist editor for managing domains in bulk and a list of every element you've manually hidden. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ LIVE METRICS The popup shows what's actually happening on the current tab: • Number of items removed on this page • Estimated time saved • Estimated data saved • Estimated speed-up The toolbar icon reflects status at a glance — gray when paused for the current site or page, green when active. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ INTERFACE • Compact popup designed for one-handed use • Light and dark themes • Quick-share button to recommend the extension to friends ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PRIVACY Everything runs locally on your device. Brisk does not create accounts, does not phone home, and does not send browsing data anywhere. Filter lists ship with the extension. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FAQ Q: Will it slow down my browser? A: No. Filtering uses Chrome's built-in declarativeNetRequest API, which the browser handles natively. Q: A site is broken — what now? A: Open the popup and turn off "This website" or "This page", or disable Super Block in settings if the breakage is cosmetic. Q: Can I block something the filter list missed? A: Yes. Click "Block element" in the popup, point at the element, and confirm. It stays hidden on every visit. Q: Is my data shared with anyone? A: No. There are no servers, accounts, or analytics.
