Overview

Securely fill saved logins and OTPs, scan authenticator QR codes, use smart site matching, and connect to Brightery Vault.

# Brightery Vault Brightery Vault is a secure password manager and authenticator that helps you access your passwords, one-time verification codes, and saved login information directly from your browser. Connect the extension securely to your Brightery Vault account at vault.brightery.com and quickly access the credentials and authenticator codes you need without repeatedly opening the web application. ## Authenticator & OTP The Authenticator tab opens first so your current verification codes are always easy to reach. Features include: * View live TOTP authentication codes. * Search OTP accounts by issuer, account, category, tag, or website. * Show OTPs suggested for the website you are currently visiting. * Copy OTP codes with one click. * Fill OTP verification fields directly from the extension. * Support 6-digit and 8-digit OTP codes. * Support SHA-1, SHA-256, and SHA-512 TOTP configurations. * Support different OTP periods. * Fill websites that use either one OTP field or multiple individual digit boxes. * Assign authenticator accounts to specific websites. * Organize OTPs using categories, tags, and favorites. ## Scan QR Codes Brightery Vault can help you add authenticator accounts directly from websites. Right-click an authenticator QR code and choose: **Brightery Vault: Scan QR and add OTP** The QR code is processed through your connected Brightery Vault account and the detected authenticator configuration can be saved securely to your Vault. You can also select an `otpauth://` address on a webpage and add it through the right-click menu. QR scanning only happens when you explicitly choose the Brightery Vault QR scanning command. ## Smart OTP Suggestions When visiting a website that requires two-factor authentication, Brightery Vault can suggest the most relevant authenticator account based on information such as: * Website domain * Assigned websites * OTP issuer * Account name * Category * Favorite status Website learning is optional. When enabled, Brightery Vault can ask whether you want to associate an OTP with the current website after you use it. ## OTP Autofill Right-click an OTP input and choose: **Brightery Vault: Fill OTP** You can also use the keyboard shortcut: **Windows/Linux:** Ctrl + Shift + O **macOS:** Command + Shift + O The extension attempts to identify the OTP field and securely enters the current code. ## Password Manager The Passwords tab provides access to saved credentials that match the current website. You can: * Find matching saved logins. * View account usernames. * Fill username and password fields. * Access your complete Vault from vault.brightery.com. Passwords are retrieved only from your authenticated Brightery Vault account. ## Optional Inline OTP Suggestions Inline OTP suggestions are optional and disabled unless enabled by the user. You can grant Brightery Vault access to an individual website from the extension settings. The extension requests access only to the specific website you choose instead of requiring permanent access to every website you visit. You can revoke this permission at any time. ## Secure Browser Connection Brightery Vault does not ask you to enter your Vault password directly into the extension. Instead, the extension uses secure device pairing. You can connect using your Vault account in the browser or approve the browser using the Brightery Vault mobile app. Connected browser sessions receive revocable authentication credentials that can be disconnected from your Vault account. ## Privacy-Focused Permissions Brightery Vault requests only the browser permissions required for its user-facing functionality. It does not sell browsing data or use browser activity for advertising. Website information is used only for functionality such as identifying credentials or authenticator accounts that match the website you are currently using. ## Brightery Vault Web application: https://vault.brightery.com/ Brightery Vault supports passwords, authenticator codes, secure notes, encrypted files, connected devices, QR login, and additional account security features.
