The butterfly has striking red-orange wings, dark outer edges and especially two large blue-black-white “peacock eyes” on each wing, looking very impressive and attractive. The butterfly’s body is slim, covered with fine brown fur, two long antennae gently extending forward. The butterfly is perched on a light purple thorny flower, surrounded by small unopened flower buds. The background is the faint green of grass and trees, highlighting the shape and brilliant colors of the butterfly.
