Overview

Unofficial classic-style tools for adding and reviewing BrickLink inventory items, with Part and Minifigure assistance.

BrickLink Classic Helper — Prototype This extension is an early prototype and is expected to contain bugs. If a future BrickLink update breaks it, the helper can be quickly disabled from its browser-toolbar menu to restore BrickLink’s normal interface. BrickLink Classic Helper is an unofficial browser extension that provides a classic-style interface for adding items to a BrickLink store inventory. It is intended for sellers who prefer the layout and workflow of BrickLink’s older add-item pages while still using BrickLink’s current website, catalog information, and inventory systems. Main features * Support for parts, minifigures, sets, instructions, original boxes, and gear * Catalog category and item selection * BrickLink color options and catalog images * New and used condition options * Quantity, price, cost, remarks, description, bulk quantity, sale percentage, stockroom, and reserved-buyer fields * Duplicate-inventory checking * Custom-image upload support * Review and completion screens * Temporary local caching to preserve form information and improve loading times * A browser-toolbar switch that can disable the helper and restore BrickLink’s normal interface **Superlots are not currently supported.** Important prototype warning This extension is an early prototype and contains known bugs. It has primarily been developed and tested with standard parts, minifigures, and similar frequently listed items. These items should generally work, but uncommon catalog types, unusual item configurations, and special situations may not behave correctly. BrickLink can change its website, catalog pages, or inventory submission systems at any time. Such changes may partially or completely break the extension until it is updated. If this happens, open the extension’s browser-toolbar menu, turn the helper off, and reload the page. BrickLink’s standard interface will then be available. Nothing is guaranteed to work. Always carefully review the item number, color, condition, quantity, price, description, remarks, and all other information before saving and after submitting an inventory item. Privacy BrickLink Classic Helper does not include analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking. The extension does not send personal information to the extension’s developer, advertisers, analytics providers, or unrelated third parties. Its enabled or disabled preference is stored locally using the browser’s extension storage. Temporary form state and catalog information may also be cached locally in the browser to support the extension’s functionality. To perform its features, the extension reads information displayed on BrickLink pages and communicates with BrickLink’s own website, image servers, and inventory systems while you are signed in. BrickLink’s own terms, privacy policy, and data practices continue to apply. Independent project BrickLink Classic Helper is an independent, unofficial community project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, or endorsed by BrickLink, the LEGO Group, or any of their affiliates. BrickLink and LEGO are trademarks of their respective owners. Their names are used only to identify the websites and services with which this extension is designed to work. Reporting bugs Please report bugs, incorrect behavior, and unsupported items through my BrickLink contact page: https://www.bricklink.com/contact.asp?u=Nubs_Select When reporting a problem, include the item type, item number, page step, and a description of what happened. What’s new in version 0.1.8 Added advanced catalog-name configurators for `973` torso assemblies and `970` hips and legs. The new torso configurator supports: * Matching or different left and right arm colors * Matching or different hand colors * Combined arm-and-hand descriptions by side * Printed left, right, or matching arms * Independently described arm patterns * Molded short sleeves * Molded-and-printed sleeves * One detailed arm with one plain arm * Catalog-style formatted names with the pattern-description placeholder selected for immediate editing Expanded the `970` hips and legs configurator. The leg configurator now supports: * Standard matching legs * Matching legs in a color different from the hips * Different left and right leg colors * General, left-only, right-only, or separate left-and-right printing * Matching molded lower legs or boots * Left-only or right-only molded lower legs * Different molded colors on the left and right * Catalog-style wording for molded-only and molded-and-printed designs Improved color selection for the torso and leg configurators. Color menus now use the extension’s downloaded BrickLink color catalog. Improved `970` numbered-family detection. Single-color leg searches now check BrickLink’s common two-digit color-family format first and fall back to the zero-padded three-digit format when necessary. When a decorated family does not already exist, the extension can begin the preferred family at `pb01` while preserving the built-in category, name, weight, and packing suggestions. Added safer handling for mixed-color `970d` leg families. The extension can now: * Recognize known left-and-right leg color combinations from imported catalog data * Locate the highest currently used `970d` family * Safely assign a new family only for new physical color combination * Verify that both the plain family number and its first patterned entry are unused * Avoid filling old numbering gaps or reusing unrelated leg families Improved directional and letter-suffixed patterned-part handling. Approved catalog entries ending in suffixes such as `L`, `R`, `A`, or `B` now establish the numbered family’s highest sequence without causing that suffix to be added to the proposed new item number. When an approved family exists only through suffixed variants, the best matching approved item can also be used as the autofill reference for: * Category * Item-name template * Weight * Dimensions * Packing information The newly proposed item number remains unsuffixed. The extension now checks the normal unsuffixed proposal, supported letter variants at the same sequence, and the following unsuffixed number before accepting a result. Increased the protected daily BrickLink number-check limit from 150 to 500. Added a native catalog-family search link to the "Item No." label after a successful "Find Next No." search. Moved the remembered "Previous item No." shortcut beneath BrickLink’s accompanying-image submission warning. Added a complete "Inventory Tools**" master switch. The master switch turns all user-facing Inventory Tools features on or off together. Individual tools can still be adjusted separately after the master switch is enabled. Added separate toggles for: * Find Next No. and catalog-add assistance * Enhanced Minifigure category search * Inventory Comparison part-number checks * LEGO Element ID copying * Other existing inventory-related tools A small "Copy" action now appears beside each LEGO-side "Element:" value. The control follows the detected LEGO source, so it works whether LEGO data appears on the left or right side of the comparison. Added a configurable format for inventory item-number copy controls. Users can now choose between: * A BrickLink message macro * The plain item number Improved the wording of the inventory copy setting to better describe what the control copies. Added project’s copyright and license information. Fixed multiple smaller issues affecting numbered families, suffix variants, generated catalog names, color-family selection, inventory settings, copy controls, and Inventory Comparison behavior. What’s new in version 0.1.7 Fixed page-loading and scroll-position issues during extension startup. Improved classic pending-inventory links so the modern details page no longer briefly appears first. Improved inventory-comparison detection so BrickLink and LEGO data are identified correctly regardless of which side they appear on. Updated pending Part Color Code matching to support either comparison order. Expanded the “Find Next No.” tool with Minifigure support: * Find available numbers for families such as `min` and `sw` * Detect numbering families from the selected category * Fill the main Minifigure category automatically * Preserve unrelated form fields * Check both the proposed number and its `a` variant * Use local catalog data to reduce live requests Added bundled, downloadable, and importable Minifigure catalog data, with automatic weekly updates and manual refresh options. Added category aliases, automatic numbering-family selection, and category-list search for Minifigures. Expanded smart torso inventory support. Added a default-on sealed-set source option for supported inventory tools. Added direct “LEGO Data” and “Instructions” links to supported set inventory pages. Added a copy control that remembers the most recently submitted Part or Minifigure number in the current tab. Fixed additional loading, comparison, pending-inventory, numbering, and interface issues. What’s new in version 0.1.6 Improved the inventory-review toolbar layout and added a separate “Show marked rows” filter. Added an Alternates shortcut and improved unavailable inventory-section shortcuts. Improved likely-extra detection using more carefully filtered quantity and frequency data. Improved “Find Next No.” numbering: * Preserve each family’s number format * Support natural number-width increases * Ignore incompatible previously padded records * Resolve approved alternate numbers to their catalog families Added optional assisted filling for categories, names, weights, dimensions, and packing information. Suggestions are highlighted, only fill eligible fields, and never overwrite submitter-edited values. Added presets for decorated legs, torso assemblies, and Minifigure heads, plus an Undo option. Improved generated names with a selected “(Describe Pattern Here)” placeholder. Added a molded-number confirmation reminder for supported Add Part pages. Improved automatic catalog updates at browser startup, popup opening, and the first supported page visit. Fixed additional layout, loading, lookup, and inventory-review issues. What’s new in version 0.1.5 Added an inventory-review toolbar with issue summaries, navigation, and row filtering. Expanded inventory checks for: * Zero quantities and duplicate item/color combinations * Extras also listed as regular items or inside Minifigures * Missing weights, dimensions, images, or Minifigure inventories * Wheels, tires, rims, counterparts, likely extras, and unusual rows Added locally saved personal row flags. Added smart torso filling with separate arms and hands. Improved item-variant highlighting and added a softer pastel option. Added pending-inventory notes and pending Part Color Code checks. Added an option to choose whether LEGO or BrickLink data appears first in comparisons. Added Part Color Codes links, linked item numbers in request messages, and a next-part-number helper. Added an option to hide BrickLink’s monthly maintenance banner. Added automatic updates for supported catalog and reference data. Added an option to hide the review toolbar without disabling its checks. Fixed additional compatibility and inventory-tool issues. What’s new in version 0.1.4 Fixed price-guide and catalog display issues. Added options to hide add-item fields and set default field values. Fixed a brief modern-style flash on the Add Item page. Added inventory tools for: * Possible counterpart combinations * Extra-item likelihood * Missing-extra and counterpart warnings * Enabling “Item Variant Watched” by default Added LEGO Instructions and LEGO Data links to set catalog pages. Added an inventory-page macro copy button.
