BrickLink Classic Helper — Prototype Thanks to Jennnifer for the Extension picture! This extension is an early prototype and is expected to contain bugs. If a future BrickLink update breaks it, the helper can be quickly disabled from its browser-toolbar menu to restore BrickLink’s normal interface. BrickLink Classic Helper is an unofficial browser extension that provides a classic-style interface for adding items to a BrickLink store inventory. It is intended for sellers who prefer the layout and workflow of BrickLink’s older add-item pages while still using BrickLink’s current website, catalog information, and inventory systems. Main features * Support for parts, minifigures, sets, instructions, original boxes, and gear * Catalog category and item selection * BrickLink color options and catalog images * New and used condition options * Quantity, price, cost, remarks, description, bulk quantity, sale percentage, stockroom, and reserved-buyer fields * Duplicate-inventory checking * Custom-image upload support * Review and completion screens * Temporary local caching to preserve form information and improve loading times * A browser-toolbar switch that can disable the helper and restore BrickLink’s normal interface **Superlots are not currently supported.** Important prototype warning This extension is an early prototype and contains known bugs. It has primarily been developed and tested with standard parts, minifigures, and similar frequently listed items. These items should generally work, but uncommon catalog types, unusual item configurations, and special situations may not behave correctly. BrickLink can change its website, catalog pages, or inventory submission systems at any time. Such changes may partially or completely break the extension until it is updated. If this happens, open the extension’s browser-toolbar menu, turn the helper off, and reload the page. BrickLink’s standard interface will then be available. Nothing is guaranteed to work. Always carefully review the item number, color, condition, quantity, price, description, remarks, and all other information before saving and after submitting an inventory item. Privacy BrickLink Classic Helper does not include analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking. The extension does not send personal information to the extension’s developer, advertisers, analytics providers, or unrelated third parties. Its enabled or disabled preference is stored locally using the browser’s extension storage. Temporary form state and catalog information may also be cached locally in the browser to support the extension’s functionality. To perform its features, the extension reads information displayed on BrickLink pages and communicates with BrickLink’s own website, image servers, and inventory systems while you are signed in. BrickLink’s own terms, privacy policy, and data practices continue to apply. Independent project BrickLink Classic Helper is an independent, unofficial community project. Users can select or paste an image, move and resize the reference box, and keep the image available locally within the current tab. The extension remembers the box position and size through page reloads. Added an optional "Apply suggested Item Name" button for intentionally replacing an existing Item Name with the suggestion created by "Find Next No." Added an "Is stickered" option for supported Add Part page. When enabled, the extension: * Generates BrickLink-style `(Sticker)` naming * Adds a sticker-description placeholder * Preserves the normal patterned-part numbering workflow * Replaces the molded-number reminder with an instruction book and page reminder Added an instruction-location reminder to classic Add Minifigure pages. Added a local instruction sticker-page scanner. Users can select, drop, or paste an instruction PDF into the extension popup and scan it locally for likely sticker-application pages. The PDF is processed locally, is not uploaded, and is not retained after the scan. (Prototype) Added official LEGO instruction scanning by set number. The extension can retrieve official LEGO instruction booklets, scan them one at a time, and report likely sticker pages without downloading PDFs. Recent completed results can be reused without downloading the manuals again. (Popup appears to get permission to access Lego.com to source instructions) Improved the classic Add Item layout, including: * Item-number copying * Previously copied item-number assistance * Searchable grouped color controls * Automatic base-torso preparation * LEGO Data links for supported sets Improved "Paste Item No." reliability. When direct clipboard access is unavailable, the extension can temporarily fall back to the most recent Item Number copied using one of its own Copy controls. Improved the molded-number reminder. The extension can now add both the confirmed molded-number note and a selected set number placeholder. It also remembers the most recently used molded number source set for later Add Part submissions. Improved alternate-number resolution and canonical-family autofill. Exact alternate mappings are now checked before general catalog protection, while descriptive alternates continue to require exact matches. Canonical families can provide approved Category, name, weight, dimensions, and packing suggestions. Added support for approved local named-number families such as `minesheep01`. Added a "Data based on:" catalog link after successful supported Part autofill. Added a `3626` Minifigure Head naming prompt for choosing between single-sided and dual-sided face templates. Improved the Add Minifigure category picker. Probably accidently included new bugs. Corrected the packing defaults for the built-in `970`, `973`, and `3626` presets to use "Weight Bound". Added likely-extra discovery to the normal inventory review. The extension can investigate additional lightweight Part families that may commonly appear as extras while limiting daily and per-page requests. Only qualifying discoveries are shown. Improved inventory-review progress messages and loading behavior. The toolbar remains in a loading state until all active checks are complete, preventing temporary or misleading “No review issues found” messages. Added an "Undetermined" review category for rows that could not be checked conclusively. Improved review category filtering and issue navigation. Confirmed problems remain prioritized, while the colored issue counts now act as clickable filters and display the currently selected category. Expanded inventory review support on read-only "Edit Off" pages, including: * Watchlist highlighting * Review counts and filters * Previous and next issue navigation * Marked-row filtering * Historical likely-extra information Improved watchlist and historical-extra caching across editable and read-only inventory pages. Improved counterpart checks. Possible counterpart results can show an inferred main color, and matching now makes better use of component colors and quantities. Added additional exceptions to the generic wheel, tire, and rim warning for known non-wheel items and names containing terms such as `Steering` or `Multipack`. Added compact quantity controls to Extra rows. Improved the historical-extra percentage setting so percentages remain visible as plain text when clickable links are disabled. Added a comparison-specific filter bar to Inventory Comparison pages. The filter bar includes live counts for: * New numbers * No match * Pending PCC * Quantity difference * All marked * Other rows Filters can be combined, work with either comparison order, and hide empty sections. Improved comparison number checks. The extension now ignores Minifigure Head number labels and sticker rows where appropriate, detects repeated `Element:` and `PCC:` metadata more reliably, and marks only the main item-number cell. Added a persistent missing LEGO-data warning. When BrickLink returns no positive LEGO-side inventory quantities for a set that has BrickLink inventory, a dismissible notice explains that the set may not have LEGO data or that the LEGO-data service may be temporarily unavailable. Added an "Instructions" link to supported magazine set pages using the appropriate Blue Ocean instruction search. Improved automatic catalog maintenance. Colors, Parts, and Minifigure updates now run through the background worker, including after installation or extension updates. Added a compact BrickLink header option. The option reduces unused vertical header space while preserving the original logo, text, controls, icons, spacing, and notification clearance. Added a separate slightly gray BrickLink header option. This changes supported white header and dropdown surfaces to a very light gray and can be used independently of the compact-header setting.
