Breakout

Adds outlier scores, views per hour and subscriber counts to YouTube videos, then filters YouTube to outliers in your niche.

Breakout adds three numbers to each video on YouTube's Home page, search results and channel pages. The channel's subscriber count sits after the upload date, and a line underneath shows: - Views per hour since upload. - Outlier score: the video's views compared with its channel's usual. A 10× video got ten times the channel's normal views. - A "+ Save" button that adds the video to your Inspirations. Nothing is hidden until you ask. Open the Breakout bar in YouTube's top bar to set filters: - Multiplier: keep only videos at 2×, 5× or 10× their channel's usual. - Minimum views per hour. - Subscriber range, to find small channels with a breakout video. - Niche: list channels like yours on the Breakout page and it keeps only videos whose titles match their topics. Press Apply and Breakout hides the videos that miss your filters on that page. Click the Breakout icon in Chrome's toolbar to open the Breakout page. It has three tabs: - Niche: set up the niche filter and clear the channel cache. - Inspirations: videos you saved with the "+ Save" button under a YouTube video, or by pasting a link. - Scripting: a script editor for planning your own videos, with a reading grade and highlights for hard sentences, adverbs and passive voice. Breakout has no account and no server. It reads public video and channel information from youtube.com and stores everything in your browser.
