Keep your search private.

A simple chrome extension that makes it faster to search text using the Brave search engine. I built this extension because it's time consuming to open a new tab, go to search.brave.com and then type or paste the text I'm searching. That's why I built this extension, to save time. How to use: Select any text and then right-click on the selection. You'll see the "Search with Brave" option in the context menu, which when clicked, opens Brave search results in a new tab. Why to use: Brave claims their search engine is built on top of an independent index, and doesn't track users, their searches, or their clicks. Give it a try now and see the advantages for yourself.

Update - Post Chrome update to 127, 128 and 129 versions, this addon has stopped working where it doesnt show up in in the right click menu. I hope dev updates it very soon as I use it 100%. If somebody wants to use brave search "https://search.brave.com/" and couldn't add it easily to default search engine, then this is great addon to go with. Using it with opera where adding any other search engine apart from what they provide is difficult. I request dev to improve logo or icon of this add... Show more
