Protect, search, archive, restore, and back up Chromium tabs in a compact window tree.

Branchkeeper gives large Chrome and Chromium sessions a calm, compact place to live. See every open window, native tab group, and tab in one collapsible tree. Tabs and complete live windows closed through Branchkeeper are saved before the browser closes them. Reopen one tab, a complete native group, or a complete saved window later. Rename windows, preserve pinned tabs, and collapse the parts of the tree you do not need right now. Native Chrome tab groups appear inside the tree with their title and color. Move tabs or complete groups between live and Saved windows, reorder them with precise drop targets, and restore a complete Saved group without opening unrelated Saved tabs. Saved windows can be moved to Trash and restored immediately with Undo. Emptying Trash is a separate confirmed action. For protection outside the browser profile, export the complete Vault as a readable JSON backup. During import, independently choose Open, Saved, and Trash records and preview exact window and tab counts before adding anything. Import is additive and never replaces the current Vault. Branchkeeper opens in a dedicated compact manager window and remembers its size and position. Your browsing data stays on your device. Branchkeeper has no analytics, advertising, website host permissions, or external data service, and it does not run in Incognito windows.
