Canvas Harness shows you what to do next. It turns your Canvas dashboard into one calm page that you arrange yourself: what is due, how to do it, when you plan to do it, and the tools you study with. The page fits your window, and the original Canvas pages are always one click away. ★ BUILD YOUR OWN HOME Add the modules you want: Today, This week, Focus timer, Clock, Notes, Bookmarks, Grades and Messages. Make them narrow or wide and drag them into place. Hold a heading, watch the hand-drawn circle close, and move it. A long module scrolls inside itself, so the page never has to. ★ ASSIGNMENTS WITHOUT THE TAB MAZE Every assignment sits beside its instructions, with teacher updates and your bookmarks close by. Tick things off as you finish them, including work you hand in outside Canvas. ★ READ YOUR PDFS RIGHT WHERE YOU WORK Click a PDF in an assignment, the Files page, Modules, a page, an announcement or your course materials, and it opens in a reader beside your work instead of a new tab. Jump by page or outline, find words, highlight in colour and leave notes in the margin. Your highlights and notes stay on this device. Download links still download, and the original file is always one click away. ★ CANVAS'S OWN PAGES, DRAWN TO MATCH The course menu and the Modules page are drawn in the same hand-drawn style, with Canvas's order and names kept. Assignment and submission pages stay exactly as Canvas made them. ★ A PLANNER THAT UNDERSTANDS YOU Type "essay outline fri 45m #english" and the task lands on Friday, 45 minutes, in English. Drag cards between days. Finished work gets out of the way. Canvas due dates are never changed. ★ A STUDY COMPANION A small hand-drawn pony walks along your page, tells you what is next, studies beside your focus timer and cheers when you finish. It never scolds, and one switch turns it off. ★ MAKE IT YOURS Hand-drawn artwork for every course, outline styles, colors, text sizes and layout presets, all chosen by picture. Pick an accent color for buttons and a page color for the mood. No artist needed for your own art: a free skill on GitHub teaches your AI to draw a banner, icon and frame for your course, and Quick Upload drops them in. Even Canvas's own menu bar on the left is drawn to match, with your school's logo. ★ STUDY TOOLS BESIDE YOUR WORK A Desmos calculator, GPA estimates, and an optional AI hand-off: ask about the assignments, course materials or PDF pages you pick, and see exactly what is shared before anything is sent. ★ ONLY WHAT YOU USE Choose Full, Lite or Custom in the popup. Features you switch off are not loaded at all, so a slower laptop does less, and everything you saved is still there when you switch them back on. LIGHT ON SLOWER LAPTOPS Tuned to come back quickly when you return to the tab and to do very little while it sits idle. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Uses the Canvas session you are already signed in to. It never changes submissions or grades. • Plans, notes, highlights, bookmarks, artwork and settings stay in your browser. No ads, no analytics, no developer server. • By default nothing saved is shown until Canvas confirms who is signed in. • The optional AI tool sends only what you select, to the AI website you choose, after you review it. Desmos loads from its own website when opened. GOOD TO KNOW • Works on school Canvas sites under *.instructure.com. If your school uses its own Canvas address, add it in the extension's popup; your browser asks to allow that one site. • What you can see depends on your school's Canvas permissions. • GPA values are estimates, not official transcript calculations. • The AI tool may need an account with the provider, and changes to their websites can affect it. • Free and open source (GPL-3.0): github.com/Flzsh/canvas-harness Canvas Harness is an independent project by Flzsh.
