MyArc
Overview
An edge sidebar and command palette with nested folders for your Chrome tabs, bookmarks and history.
Keep your browser within reach. MyArc adds a left-edge sidebar and a keyboard-driven Command Palette to Chrome. Hover at the page edge for an overlay, or pin the sidebar to reserve room beside your page. • Follow Getting Started to try the tools, check actual shortcut assignments, choose preferences, and resume setup later. Updates preserve your progress and settings. • Organize tabs in multi-level nested folders. Drag tabs or entire folder subtrees to move them, reorder siblings, and collapse each level independently. Root folders synchronize with real Chrome tab groups. • Keep empty folders without placeholder tabs. Restore the saved hierarchy when Chrome restores your tabs after restart; recover saved empty folder structures from the sidebar menu if a window is not restored. • Auto-archive unused Temporary tabs after 12 hours, 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, or turn it Off. Folders and Keep tabs are protected. Drag tabs into Keep to retain them. Reopen automatically archived URLs from Settings for 30 days, up to the latest 500. • Search folder names and full paths in the Command Palette, including empty folders. • Search and switch tabs across windows. Find bookmarks, browsing history, recently closed tabs, and installed extensions. • Open the Command Palette on the current page with Command+T / Ctrl+T. Copy the current link with Command+Shift+C / Ctrl+Shift+C. Chrome may require you to assign these once at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. • Use @ for tabs, # for bookmarks, ! for history, and > for browser commands. • Open addresses or search with your Chrome default search engine. • Choose optional Google, Bing, or DuckDuckGo suggestions. Suggestions are Off by default; enabling them sends typed search queries directly to the selected provider. • Use light, dark, or system appearance, adjustable sidebar width, and reduced motion. Folder names, hierarchy, ordering, collapse state, and tab title/URL recovery hints are saved in Chrome extension local storage and are not uploaded to us. MyArc does not automatically reopen closed pages. Your browser lists are searched locally. MyArc has no account, analytics, advertising, or developer backend. Link copying writes to the clipboard only when requested and does not read it. Chrome-protected pages cannot show an injected sidebar; use the toolbar popup there. Extension results open options or management pages, not other extensions’ native toolbar popups. Chrome shows root folders as native tab groups; nested folders are managed locally by MyArc. MyArc does not provide Spaces or Split View. MyArc is an independent extension and is not affiliated with Arc or The Browser Company.
