Annotated
Overview
Clip a passage, video or podcast moment from any page and add your take, always linked to the source.
Annotated opens in Chrome's side panel next to whatever you're reading, watching or listening to. • Articles: highlight a passage (up to 100 words) and add your take. Longer passages are split into 100-word clips you can thread together. • YouTube and web video: mark the start and end of a moment (up to 90 seconds) from the playhead, then preview it right in the page. • Podcasts: mark a moment in any web player the same way. • Publish to annotated.com: sign in with X or Google, then post the clip with your written or recorded take. Video excerpts are recorded at 240p. Every clip keeps its source: title, author, publication and a link back to the original, deep-linked to the moment for video and audio. Save clips as drafts or copy them with the source link attached. Annotated only reads a page after you open it on that tab or allow it on that site. Your drafts stay in your browser.
