Better Contribution Graph for GitHub
Overview
Recolors GitHub contribution graphs on a log scale so a few huge days don't flatten the rest of the year.
Recolors the contribution calendar on GitHub profiles so busy stretches don't wash out the rest of your year. GitHub shades each day linearly: the dimmest green covers everything up to a quarter of your busiest day. One heavy month, say a run of agent-driven commits, drops every other day into that same dim green. This extension reads each day's count from the calendar and reassigns the shades: • Log (default): each step is a multiple, not a fixed count. If your busiest day is 160, the shades cover 1–3, 4–12, 13–44 and 45–160. • Percentile: each shade holds about a quarter of your active days. • GitHub default: GitHub's own shading. Switch scales from the toolbar button. Open tabs update right away. Hover the Less/More legend squares to see the range each shade covers. GitHub's own styles still draw the colors, so light, dark, colorblind and Halloween themes keep working. The extension runs only on github.com, collects nothing and makes no network requests. Chrome sync saves your chosen scale. Not affiliated with or endorsed by GitHub.
