Click the BOxtract icon, drag a box over the area you want, and the text pops up ready to copy. WHAT YOU GET - Drag-select OCR on any page - capture exactly the region you want. - Works offline out of the box. The built-in Tesseract engine runs entirely in your browser; nothing leaves your device. - Bring your own AI (optional). Add an OpenAI, Claude (Anthropic), or Grok (xAI) API key in settings and BOxtract uses that model for higher-accuracy reading, every language, and on-demand "Translate to English". - Layout preserved. Line breaks, columns, and spacing come through intact. - One-click copy. PRIVACY - Default mode is fully offline - the capture never leaves your browser. - If you add an AI key, the captured image is sent only to the provider you chose, on your own account, to extract the text.
