BoxdBR — Review Language Filter for Letterboxd

Filter Letterboxd reviews in Portuguese, English and Spanish, and organize found reviews in a local library.

BoxdBR is a Letterboxd extension that lets you filter reviews by language and build a personal library of reviews you find while browsing. Choose the languages you want to read — Portuguese, English and Spanish — and BoxdBR temporarily hides reviews in other languages, keeping the page cleaner and focused on the content you want to see. The extension interface is also available in Portuguese, English and Spanish, independently from the languages selected for review filtering. Main BoxdBR features: • Filter reviews in Portuguese, English and Spanish;• Use one or multiple languages at the same time; • Choose which languages should appear as filter options while browsing; • Quickly switch between filtered reviews and all original Letterboxd reviews; • Automatically save matching reviews locally while you browse; • Reopen reviews you have already found without searching through multiple pages again; • Track how far you have browsed and return to the last page where a matching review was found; • Keep progress separate for different films and review sorting modes. Your review library On the Letterboxd home page, BoxdBR adds a small control center where you can view and manage everything saved by the extension. You can search saved films, sort your library, see the poster currently displayed in your Letterboxd experience, check how many reviews are saved and open each film to manage its reviews individually. Inside each film, saved reviews can be filtered by Portuguese, English or Spanish and are displayed in pages of 12 reviews. You stay in control of what is saved: delete a single review, undo a deletion, or remove all saved reviews for the selected languages in a specific film. Local storage under your control BoxdBR uses only the browser's local extension storage and displays a progress bar showing how much storage is in use. When the extension's storage limit is reached, no existing review is deleted automatically. BoxdBR simply stops saving new reviews until you choose what to remove from your library. There is no fixed review limit per film: while storage is available, your library can keep growing. Privacy BoxdBR data stays in your browser. The extension requires no account, has no backend server, and does not send your saved review library or browsing progress to external services. BoxdBR works only on compatible Letterboxd pages and does not automatically crawl pages in the background. A Brazilian project for the Letterboxd community BoxdBR started as a way to make Portuguese-language reviews easier to discover and to bring the Brazilian and Portuguese-speaking Letterboxd community closer together. With support for more languages, people from different places can also choose which reviews they want to find and read.
