Overview

Find a Blood on the Clocktower script and copy it for botc.app. Free, community-made, not affiliated with The Pandemonium Institute.

Community-made. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to The Pandemonium Institute, who make Blood on the Clocktower. This is a free tool made by a player, for players. BotC Script Finder lets you search thousands of community scripts and copy one to your clipboard, so you can paste it straight into botc.app and get the game started. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the toolbar icon. 2. Type a few letters of the script's name, or its author's name. 3. Press Enter. The top result is copied as valid script JSON. 4. Switch to botc.app, open Edit Script, paste. That's it. No new tab, no hunting for a download link, no losing your place in the app you were already setting up. WHAT YOU GET • Search by name or author, as you type. Four letters is usually enough. • Ranking that puts the script you named first — an exact name beats a partial one, and equally good matches are ordered by how many people play them. • Works offline. The catalogue is mirrored on your machine, so bad venue wifi doesn't stop you starting a game. • Opens on the community's most popular scripts when you haven't typed anything, which is already an answer to "what shall we play?". • Filter to Teensyville or full scripts, so a six-player table only sees scripts built for it. • Open a script to see every role in it, grouped by team with a count for each. • Star the scripts your group actually plays. They live in a Saved tab and survive restarts. • The copied JSON carries the script's name and author, so it loads into botc.app titled — not as an anonymous custom script. • Full keyboard control: arrow keys through results, Enter to copy, Escape to close. Every control is labelled for screen readers. PRIVACY • No access to your browsing. No content scripts, no host permissions, no reading the pages you visit. • No accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no tracking, no ads. • Nothing about you leaves your machine. Saved scripts and settings are stored locally. • Three narrow permissions: local storage for your saved scripts and settings, clipboard write for the copy button, and alarms to schedule the catalogue refresh. WHERE THE SCRIPTS COME FROM Scripts come from botcscripts.com, the community's own script database, through its public API. Role names come from the community's townsquare project. The extension is deliberately gentle with botcscripts — it mirrors the catalogue once and then fetches only what is new. No character token art is bundled, anywhere. The Pandemonium Institute's community content policy asks that their visual assets stay out of tools, so scripts and roles are listed by name. NOT OFFICIAL Blood on the Clocktower is created by The Pandemonium Institute. This extension is unofficial fan-made software. It is not made by them, not endorsed by them, and not affiliated with them in any way. It costs nothing, and it never will. If you want the official experience, go to botc.app and bloodontheclocktower.com — this tool exists to get you there faster, not to replace anything.
