Keep your bookmarks in sync between all your browsers, on all your computers, without handing them to anyone. BookmarkWarden encrypts your bookmarks on your device before they're uploaded. The server only ever stores scrambled data; it never sees your password, your username or your bookmarks. WHAT IT DOES • Two-way sync: add, rename, move or delete a bookmark in one browser and it changes everywhere, usually within a minute. • Works across browsers: the same account syncs with BookmarkWarden for Firefox, too. • Send tabs: right-click any page to open it in your other browser. It arrives with a notification. • Protection against mistakes: a backup is saved before any sync changes your bookmarks, and if a large share would disappear at once, sync pauses and asks first. • No email or phone number: just a username and a password you'll remember. An optional recovery code lets you reset a forgotten password. • Export your bookmarks to a standard file any browser can import, at any time. • Delete everything from the server whenever you like. HOW THE ENCRYPTION WORKS Your username and password are turned into an encryption key on your device (PBKDF2, 600,000 rounds). Bookmarks are encrypted with AES-256-GCM using that key and stored under an ID that reveals nothing about you. Without your password, nobody can read them, including us.
