Overview
Simple cross-browser bookmark sync using GitHub Gist
BookmarkHub is a lightweight, privacy-first bookmark sync tool that uses your own GitHub Gist as the sync backend — no third-party servers, no accounts beyond GitHub. How It Works Your bookmarks are stored in a private GitHub Gist under your own account. Upload bookmarks from one browser, download them in another. You retain full ownership of your data at all times. Key Features - Upload & Download — Push bookmarks from one browser, pull them to another. Cross-browser sync between Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. - Conflict Detection — The extension detects when local bookmarks already exist and asks before overwriting them, preventing accidental data loss. - Change Indicator — A badge appears on the extension icon whenever local bookmarks are modified, reminding you to sync. - Notification Support — Get notified when sync operations succeed or fail (can be disabled in settings). - Private by Design — Your bookmark data lives entirely in your personal GitHub Gist. Nothing is sent to or stored on any third-party server.
