See your bookmarks as a treemap, file loose links into folders, find dead links and duplicates, and export.

Bookmark Sorter draws your bookmarks as a treemap, so a big folder is a big tile and the ones that need attention stand out. Click a tile to drill in. A red count on a tile is the number of links still sitting loose in a folder that has subfolders; a yellow count is links that failed a check. The table under the map lists the links in the folder you are in, newest first. Drag a row onto a tile, pick a folder from the menu, or tick several rows and move them together anywhere in the tree. Rename, add and remove folders from the same page; removing a folder rolls its contents up into its parent so nothing is lost. Every change is written to your bookmarks immediately and can be undone until you close the tab. The Tools dialog finds duplicate bookmarks (keeping the oldest copy), exports the current branch as a bookmark file Chrome can import, imports such a file, and checks whether links still answer. The check sends one small request to each bookmarked address and records only the status code; you can dismiss a false alarm so it stops counting. Access to websites is requested when you start a check and released when it finishes. Nothing leaves your browser: no accounts, no servers, no analytics. Link-check results stay in the extension's local storage and can be cleared with one click.
