Safely find unavailable bookmarks and recover archived copies without deleting or changing your bookmarks.

Old bookmark libraries contain useful references, but ordinary link cleaners can mistake login pages, rate limits, bot protection, and temporary outages for dead links. Bookmark Rescue scans all bookmarks or a folder you choose and reports conservative availability results: • reachable pages • redirects, including the observed destination • protected or authentication-required pages • temporary network and server errors • pages that are likely unavailable based on explicit HTTP responses For a likely unavailable page, you can choose to check the Internet Archive and open an archived copy when one exists. Archive lookup happens only after you click that result's action. You can also export scan results to CSV or JSON. Bookmark Rescue never automatically deletes, edits, moves, or rewrites bookmarks. Scan progress and results stay on your device, interrupted scans can resume after the extension service worker restarts, and the Clear local data control removes the saved queue and report without touching bookmarks.
