Bookmark Bar Separator
Overview
Insert slim visual separators into your bookmarks bar. Click the toolbar icon to add one, then drag it wherever you like.
Group your bookmarks bar visually with slim vertical separators that look native. HOW IT WORKS • Click the toolbar icon — a separator appears at the end of your bookmarks bar. • Drag it wherever you want, exactly like any bookmark. • Remove it with right-click → Delete. DETAILS THAT MATTER • Clicking a separator does nothing: the navigation is undone instantly, so the separator stays out of your way. • Separators sync with your Chrome bookmarks across devices. • Under the hood a separator is a bookmark pointing to a tiny placeholder page (dsantoscollazo.github.io/separator) whose icon is the separator line — the only mechanism Chrome offers for putting anything visual on the bookmarks bar. The page is a public repository and serves a favicon, nothing else. PERMISSIONS, HONESTLY • "bookmarks" — creates the separator (it is technically a bookmark). • "tabs" (shown as "read your browsing activity") — used only to notice that the active tab navigated to the separator's placeholder page (= you clicked a separator) and restore your previous page instantly. Nothing is read beyond that, nothing is stored, nothing is sent anywhere. No data collection. No tracking. No accounts.
