Bookmark Backup (v3) is a Git-style bookmark versioning, backup-history tracking, and safety-recovery extension for Chrome / Edge. It treats the browser bookmark tree as a versioned asset. Each backup creates a time-stamped, fingerprinted snapshot/history record that can preserve the full bookmark tree and track current changes against historical states. These versions can be synced to local storage, WebDAV, or a GitHub repository, then used later for restore, revert, or import-merge workflows. ────────────────────────── v3.5.8 - Restore / Revert Stability Fixes: - Fixed second-round concurrency issues that could occur when overwrite restore, patch restore, patch revert, or import merge ran before background state fully settled. - Separated actual restore writes from post-restore history record generation, preventing restore records from triggering unnecessary local/cloud snapshot exports. - Reuses precomputed diffs only when they match the actual strategy, and adds popup/history background request timeouts to reduce state mismatches and long UI waits. - Restore List Detection Improvements: - Cloud and local restore now detect JSON and HTML snapshots/current changes together, including overwrite, versioned, and mixed-format backups. - Web Snapshot & Highlighter Improvements: - Highlighter color, tool selection, and toolbar preferences are remembered more reliably, with better recovery behavior for suspended tabs and refreshed pages. - UI & Shortcut Updates: - Moved extension shortcuts to Command + Shift on macOS and Ctrl + Shift on Windows/Linux to reduce conflicts with webpage-native shortcuts or other extensions. - Actual shortcuts: activate extension (Command/Ctrl + Shift + U), open Current Changes (Command/Ctrl + Shift + I), open Backup History (Command/Ctrl + Shift + O), open/close Web Snapshot helper (Command/Ctrl + Shift + P). - Cleaned up parts of the settings/status UI and documentation structure.
