Book Coach helps you discuss what you read online with AI — directly inside Chrome. Instead of copying passages into a separate ChatGPT tab, you can highlight text on a webpage, open Book Coach in the Chrome side panel, and ask AI to explain, apply, or challenge the selected idea. It is designed for people who read practical content online, such as business books, self-improvement books, startup material, psychology, learning resources, blog posts, essays, and long-form articles. What you can do with Book Coach: • Highlight a passage and ask AI to explain it in simple language • Ask how an idea applies to your work, business, learning, or personal growth • Challenge your understanding with deeper questions • Critique the provided text and find logical flows • Ask custom follow-up questions about the selected text • Keep your reading flow without switching between tabs • Use AI as a thinking partner while reading practical non-fiction Example use cases: • You are reading a startup book and want to apply the idea to your own project • You are reading a self-improvement chapter and want reflection questions • You are reading a business article and want a practical example • You are reading a difficult paragraph and want a clearer explanation • You want to discuss an idea without manually copying page context into another AI chat Book Coach is not just a summarizer. The goal is to help you think more actively about what you read. How it works: 1. Highlight text on a webpage 2. Open Book Coach from the extension/sidebar 3. Choose a mode: Explain, Apply, Challenge, Ask or Critique 4. Continue the conversation in the side panel Privacy note: Book Coach only sends the text you choose to discuss, together with basic page context needed to answer your question. It does not automatically upload full pages or your browsing history. Book Coach is currently an early version. Feedback is welcome and helps shape the product.
