Bonsai turns raw JSON responses into a fast, read-only, editor-style viewer: the experience of opening the file in a desktop code editor, directly in the tab. 📂 LOCAL FILES SETUP Want to open local JSON files? Chrome hides file:// access behind one quick manual step for every extension, not just this one: 1. After installing, open chrome://extensions 2. Find Bonsai and click Details 3. Toggle on"Allow access to file URLs". Note: Regular http(s) pages work instantly out of the box — no setup needed! 🚀 ✨ FEATURES • 🌳 Structure panel: a virtualized tree of the document with type icons, counts, copy-value / copy-path (JSONPath, dot, bracket) on every row, and reveal-in-structure from any editor line. • ✍️ Editor niceties: code folding by level, breadcrumb path bar, hover row actions, precise error markers with clickable line:column jump links for malformed documents. • 🛠️ Error-tolerant parser: handles malformed JSON gracefully.
