Chess Hints Companion adds a side panel for studying chess: analyze a position with a local engine, then practice tactics from ChessHints puzzles. Analyze • Set up a board, calculate a line, and see an evaluation and best-move arrow • Adjust engine strength (Elo) and use human-like play when you want a softer opponent • Add or remove pieces to test an idea Puzzles • Load a ChessHints puzzle with its title and number of moves • Hint, retry, or skip to the next one On Chess.com and Lichess • An optional overlay can show evaluation and a suggested move while you study • Strength and arrow settings live in the toolbar popup The engine runs on your computer. Puzzle lists are loaded from chesshints.com. We do not use this extension to collect browsing history.
