Overview
Daily board backups, Excel export, card numbers, label names, story points and list layouts for Trello.
BoardKit brings back the Trello extensions that stopped working when Chrome dropped Manifest V2, rebuilt in one modern package: card numbers, label names, story points, list layouts, Excel export and automatic board backups. WHAT YOU GET • Card numbers: every card shows its number (#142) on the front, so "can you look at #142?" just works. • Label names: labels show their names, not just coloured chips. • Story points: put (3) at the start of a card title and each list shows its total. See "How to use story points" below. • List layouts: show your lists side by side (Trello's normal layout), in a wrapping grid, or stacked top to bottom. • Excel and CSV export: download the whole board as an Excel workbook with separate sheets for cards, checklist items, comments and attachments, with custom fields as columns. Or as a plain CSV of the cards. • Automatic backups: once a day, BoardKit saves a full copy of each board you open, archived cards included. The last 30 copies per board are kept, and you can download any of them as Excel or JSON. Click "Back up this board now" any time for an extra copy. Everything is in the toolbar popup, in three tabs: Export, Backups and Settings. Each feature can be switched on or off. HOW TO USE STORY POINTS Story points are typed into the card title. There's nothing to set up. 1. Open a card and edit its title. 2. Type the points in brackets at the very start of the title, for example: (3) Design the login page (0.5) Fix typo on pricing page (13) Rebuild the export 3. Save the title. The list's header now shows the total, for example "16.5 pts". Tips: • The brackets must come first in the title. "Design (3)" doesn't count. • Whole numbers and decimals both work: (1), (2.5), (0.5). • To change the points, edit the number. To remove them, delete the brackets. • Lists with no pointed cards show no total. • Exports to Excel and CSV get a "Story points" column. • Boards that already use this convention (from the old Agile SCRUM for Trello extension) work as they are. FREE AND PAID Card numbers, label names, story points, list layouts and daily backups are free. Exports are free 3 times. Downloading a backup counts as an export. After that, unlimited exports are a one-time purchase of $11.99. It's not a subscription. Payment is handled by ExtensionPay and Stripe. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Your board data stays in your browser. Backups are stored on your computer, not on our servers. We don't have any servers that receive your boards. • No Trello API key or login needed. BoardKit uses your existing Trello session in the tab. • No analytics or tracking. • Minimal permissions: storage only, plus unlimited storage so backups can grow. It runs only on trello.com. BUILT TO KEEP WORKING Exports and backups use Trello's own API, not the page layout, so Trello redesigns don't break them. The on-board features check Trello's page every time it changes, and every Trello lookup lives in one place, so fixes ship fast.
