muRead is an RSVP speed reader for selected text, loaded page content and optional X posts. RSVP stands for Rapid Serial Visual Presentation: words appear one at a time in a consistent reading area, at a pace you control. Use this focused reading view to work through text at your chosen speed. Adjust the pace, pause whenever you need, and return to the full text to recover context. Select text and choose Read selected text from its context menu, or use the configurable reading shortcut. Choose Read page from the page context menu or the extension popup to extract loaded page content. General reading opens ready for you to press Start. Edit extracted page text in the Text editor before opening the reader, or choose Edit from the reader or Plain Text to revise a selection or page reading. Apply accepts the draft; Cancel discards changes while retaining existing reading progress. Edits apply only to the reading session. Pause, adjust speed, move through the text, or switch to Plain Text to recover context. Minimize and restore the general reader while staying on the page. Source links help you return to the original content. Optionally enable the X integration to read individual posts inline. This integration requests site access only when you enable it. Choose light, dark or system appearance and an interface language. Interface translations are available in English, Turkish, Arabic, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German and French. Playback validation covers English and Turkish left-to-right text; interface translation does not establish other-language playback support. Reading text, editor drafts and source information are processed on your device. Source URLs and titles are used to identify the requested content and let you return to it. The extension saves preferences locally and does not upload reading text or provide reading history. When enabled, the optional X integration inspects supported posts to add inline reading actions.
