Cannot access ebay

Ebay does not load any images. I just brought a brand new Acer Chromebook 14 - literally just unboxed it, all other sites work and eBay does not display any pictures.

Why doesn't this seem useful?

I downloaded the app. All it does is take me to ebay's website. It seems more like a shortcut than an app. Is it supposed to be like this?
