VocaScript transcribes video and audio as you browse: lectures, courses, podcasts, interviews and streams, including recordings that run for hours. Keep browsing while it runs, and read the finished transcript as captions on the same page. Key features: • One-click transcripts: Transcribe the video or audio you are playing with one click, a right-click or Alt+Shift+V, without copying a link. • Keep browsing: With a free account, the transcription runs in the background and the extension notifies you when the transcript is ready. • Captions on the page: The finished transcript appears as synchronized captions on the video you are watching. Move and restyle the captions to fit the page. • Word timings: With word timings, each word in the captions lights up as it is spoken. • Long recordings: Paid plans transcribe single recordings of up to 4, 8 or 16 hours, and a longer recording can be continued from where the transcript stopped. • Checked against the audio: Each transcript is checked against the recording, skipped speech is filled in, and a quality report lists anything that still needs attention. • Timestamps and speaker labels: Every segment is timestamped and labeled by speaker, and speaker labels stay consistent across the whole recording. • 100+ languages and translation: VocaScript detects the language automatically, transcribes recordings that switch between languages, and translates the transcript during transcription or afterwards. • More ways to transcribe: Transcribe voice messages on WhatsApp Web and Telegram Web, record the audio playing in a tab, or drop an audio or video file into the extension. • Signed-in content: VocaScript uses your signed-in browser session to transcribe media you already have access to, such as lectures and webinars behind a login. • Transcript library: Search your transcripts from the extension, replay them as captions, and open them in VocaScript to edit, proofread and export. Current limits and plans: https://vocascript.com/pricing Privacy first: VocaScript only handles what is needed to provide its transcription, library, and subtitle features. This may include the selected page URL and media metadata, session cookies for pages you are signed in to, and the audio being transcribed. Session cookies are included by default and can be turned off with the Include Auth Cookies switch in the extension popup. Cookies and transfer data are held briefly in local browser storage and then removed. VocaScript uses trusted third-party service providers where necessary to process transcriptions and operate the service. Optional privacy-safe usage analytics contain only allowlisted feature events and failure codes. They never include page URLs, titles, media, cookies, filenames, transcript text, account identifiers, or VocaScript page request IDs. Analytics can be disabled in Settings. Your data is never sold.
