BlurryChats

Blur WhatsApp Web chats, names and photos until you hover. Includes pause, never-blur list and password lock.

BlurryChats keeps your WhatsApp Web chats private when other people can see your screen. Messages, names and photos are blurred. Move your mouse over something to see it clearly. Move away and it blurs again. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Blur messages, chat previews, photos, videos, profile pictures, names and the typing box. Pick only what you want. • Change how strong the blur is. • Hide everything when you are idle, or when you leave the window. • Pause button: show everything for 1 to 30 minutes, then the blur comes back by itself. • Never-blur list: pick chats that should always stay clear, like a work group. • Password lock: ask for a password when you open WhatsApp Web, or after you have been away for some time. • Keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Shift+B turns the blur on or off, Alt+Shift+P pauses it, Alt+Shift+L locks WhatsApp Web. YOUR PRIVACY • Nothing is sent anywhere. There is no tracking, no ads and no account. • Your settings stay on your own computer. • Your password is never saved. Only a scrambled version (a hash) is kept on your computer. • The extension works only on web.whatsapp.com. GOOD TO KNOW • The blur only changes how the screen looks. It does not change your messages. • The password lock is a simple lock for casual privacy. It does not replace your computer's own password or screen lock. • If you forget your lock password, remove and install the extension again. • WhatsApp may change its page design. If something stops blurring, please send us feedback and we will fix it. NEED HELP? Use the "Send feedback" link inside the extension, or email contact@desicoders.com. BlurryChats is not made by, connected to, or approved by WhatsApp or Meta. WhatsApp is a trademark of its owner.
