Overview

Blur what you don't want to show. Hide any element or text on a page, stored only on your device.

BlurMark is a Chrome extension that lets you blur elements and text on a web page with a click or a drag. Before you share your screen or take a screenshot, hide personal details and anything else you don't want to show. Only what appears on your screen changes. ■ Two ways to hide - Select element: Click an element on the page to hide it (use the ↑ ↓ keys to change the selection) - Select text: Drag over text and click Mask. You can hide just part of a sentence ■ Effects - Blur, pixelate or solid - Low, medium or high strength ■ Managing masks - See the masks on the current page, and turn each one on or off, change its effect and strength, or remove it - Show masks for a moment with the switch in the popup or a keyboard shortcut (Alt+Shift+B by default) - Masks are saved for each site and come back when you reload the page ■ Privacy BlurMark does not communicate with any external server. There is no account and there are no ads, and your settings stay in your browser. ■ Please note Masks only change how a page looks. The original content stays in the page and can still be read from its source or developer tools. BlurMark does not protect or erase passwords or other secrets. Text you select is stored unencrypted in your browser so that the mask can be restored. Shadow DOM contents, canvas, PDFs and iframes are not supported. A mask may not come back if a site changes its page structure or content. Right after a page opens, the original content may be visible for a moment before masks are applied.
