Blur WhatsApp Chats adds visual privacy controls to WhatsApp Web. Blur contact and group names, chat previews, profile photos, message text, media, and the open-chat title. Adjust blur strength and choose hover, timed click, or no reveal. A toolbar click or keyboard shortcut switches protection instantly. Cover the full WhatsApp Web page before a screen share. The page stays heavily blurred behind a clear confirmation card until you choose to show it. If you leave a WhatsApp Web tab while protection is off, Blur WhatsApp Chats turns protection back on and covers the page. Idle and schedule controls can also turn protection on. You can mark individual chats as always blurred or hide them from the chat list and conversation pane. An optional PIN provides a visual cover. Quick chat opens a chat by number without sending a message or saving that number. Blur WhatsApp Chats runs locally. It does not save message contents, run analytics, or send data to the developer. Chrome Sync may synchronize visual settings if you use it. Selected chat display titles and a salted PIN hash stay in browser local storage. Blur WhatsApp Chats covers the browser page, not desktop notifications or other apps. Its PIN cover is not encryption. It cannot detect every meeting or screen share outside WhatsApp Web.
