BlueChimp scans your network to surface the warmest, highest-intent leads – companies already showing real buying signals. The BlueChimp LinkedIn Intelligence Chrome extension (currently v2.3.2) is a LinkedIn overlay that surfaces the user's own BlueChimp account data — buying signals, warm connections, and decision makers — directly on LinkedIn pages. Here's what it's supposed to do: Core purpose When you browse a LinkedIn company page or profile, the extension reads just the company name + domain from the page DOM, then calls a single MCP tool (get_company_brief) against the BlueChimp backend to pull everything BlueChimp already knows about that company. It deliberately only displays what the server returns — no fabricated scores or invented confidence values. What it shows Buying signals (real evidence from your BlueChimp data): Hiring spikes / open roles (last 90 days) Recent funding or news Intent research topics the company is actively exploring Warm paths: Your first-degree LinkedIn connections at that company Decision makers you've already saved in BlueChimp How it surfaces (alert tiers) The extension evaluates the data and decides how loudly to interrupt you: Critical / High → a banner appears at the top of the LinkedIn page (e.g., hiring spike + warm connection + senior contact) Medium → quietly opens the sidebar panel only, no banner No match → sidebar opens in lookup mode with a search box so you can manually find the company across your synced BlueChimp accounts One-click actions Draft Email — calls generate_outreach_email for an AI-personalized draft, opens it via mailto: (recipient pre-filled if a decision maker's email is on file) Save Lead — calls save_decision_maker to persist the contact to your BlueChimp account CSV Export — downloads locally saved leads Auth & plumbing OAuth2 with PKCE via chrome.identity.launchWebAuthFlow — no tokens to copy/paste. Tokens live in chrome.storage.local, refresh automatically (8h access token, rolling 90-day refresh). Manifest V3, content script injected only on linkedin.com, backend on Supabase / mcp.blue-chimp.com. Requires a BlueChimp account — unauthenticated users see no panel at all. A key design principle (called out repeatedly in the README and store listing) is honesty: it only renders verified evidence the BlueChimp platform already has, never invented scores, and it never sends LinkedIn profile DOM back to BlueChimp — only the extracted company name + domain.
