Blown Speaker Simulator
Overview
Simulates the sound of a blown-out car subwoofer by heavily distorting the bass frequencies in the active tab.
Blown Speaker Simulator is a novelty audio tool that manipulates the output of your active tab to replicate the acoustic characteristics of a blown-out car subwoofer. It utilizes the Chrome Offscreen and Web Audio APIs to isolate bass frequencies, apply a heavy gain stage, and introduce aggressive wave-shaping distortion. Usage Instructions: - Open a tab with active audio playback. - Launch the extension and click "Blow the Speakers!". - Adjust the distortion slider to fine-tune the effect. - Click "Stop Audio" to instantly disable the filter and return to default audio. IMPORTANT AUDIO WARNING: Due to the aggressive digital gain (+28dB) applied by this extension, the output volume can become exceptionally loud, regardless of your computer's main system volume. To avoid sudden volume spikes and protect your audio equipment, it is highly recommended to lower the volume of the in-tab media player (e.g., the YouTube or Spotify web player) to 20-30% prior to activating the extension.
