Flowers are curly, twisted, curved, looking like twisted ribbons. The petals are pale yellow-green, covered with many red-purple spots. Each flower stem grows thick and consecutively, creating a very impressive "flower curtain" hanging down. The leaves are large, thick, dark green, growing from large, strong pseudobulbs. Dendrobium spectabile is an extremely unique orchid species, famous for its strangely shaped and rare flowers.
