Build a calmer browsing routine with website blocking, weekly schedules, focus cycles and daily time limits. Block Site – Website Blocker & Focus Timer runs its core features locally in Chrome, with no OrangeBot account required. CHOOSE WHAT TO BLOCK Add distracting hostnames or specific paths, use URL keywords, or choose from small starter category lists. Allow-only mode helps you restrict browsing to the sites you choose. The toolbar popup and right-click menu let you add the current site quickly. Blocking applies to supported HTTP(S) pages; Chrome's own protected pages are outside its scope. PLAN YOUR FOCUS TIME Set weekly schedules, including overnight windows, or start configurable work/break focus cycles. Start, pause, resume and stop a cycle from the popup or Settings. Saved deadlines and browser alarms keep focus periods and temporary access aligned with the current time; Chrome can delay background work, so this is not a guaranteed real-time timer. SET DAILY LIMITS AND SEE LOCAL USAGE Set a daily allowance for a hostname and review estimated foreground time. The extension checks the active tab, window focus and idle state to avoid counting background or locked time. It retains local hostname/time totals for up to 30 recorded dates. These estimates are approximate, not exact-second records. Parent domains and subdomains have independent usage totals. MAKE THE BLOCK PAGE YOURS Choose a custom message and an optional image URL or redirect. The block page supports an explicit five-minute allowance for the blocked URL. An optional settings password adds a local gate for settings and temporary access. It cannot prevent someone from disabling or uninstalling the extension in Chrome. KEEP CONTROL OF YOUR SETTINGS Import or export validated JSON configuration, clear local usage history, and optionally synchronize configuration through Chrome Sync. Sync is off by default. Configured sites, rules and custom block-page settings are included when you turn it on; usage history and the password verifier are not. Cross-device synchronization has not been verified for this release. DATA AND PERMISSIONS The extension reads page addresses to enforce your rules and automatically estimates foreground usage by hostname while it is enabled in Chrome. Turning off its in-extension blocking switch stops blocking but does not stop usage accounting. Clear usage removes existing records; disable the extension in Chrome or uninstall it to stop future accounting. Site rules, settings, focus state, bounded usage history and a salted password verifier stay in local extension storage. Temporary URL allowances and unlock state use session storage. There is no OrangeBot analytics, advertising or account backend, and user data is not sold. Optional Chrome Sync uses Google's service. A custom remote image or redirect makes an ordinary request to the destination you configure, which applies its own privacy policy. Broad site access supports rules on the websites you choose. Tab/navigation access evaluates addresses and foreground hostnames; idle and alarms support local usage and timing; storage saves settings; the context menu supports your explicit current-site action. Extension scripts are packaged locally. The extension does not record page bodies, screenshots or general keystrokes. Version 0.1.0 is an independent implementation provided under the OrangeBot.AI brand. It is not affiliated with other website-blocking products.
